Indian Harbour Beach Community

The City of Indian Harbour Beach is located on the East Coast of Central Florida, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon.  The city is two square miles with 8,500 residents.

 

The Indian Harbour Police Department is less than ½ mile from Zon Beachside, so emergency response is just a few minutes away.  All police officers are first responders for medical emergencies and carry AED’s in each of the patrol cars.  The Volunteer Fire Department is also less than ½ mile away and has 30 members and state-of-the-art equipment.

 

Residents will enjoy Gleason Park, a 27-acre park surrounding a lake with walking trails that are shaded and lighted at night.  There is a large community center that offers activities for all ages as well as a heated Olympic sized pool.

Holmes Regional Medical Center features 514 beds and more than 500 highly skilled Medical Staff members.  Holmes is the 911-Hospital for Zon Beachside.  As the region’s premier tertiary referral hospital, Holmes offers patients life-saving technology at every turn.  The Heart Center at Holmes performs more cardiac procedures than all other hospitals in Brevard and provides patients with all-private rooms.  As the only state-accredited Level II trauma center in Brevard and Indian River Counties, Holmes Trauma Center offers 24/7 trauma care and rapid patient transport via First Flight aeromedical helicopter.

 

There are many retailers located within two miles of Zon Beachside, including Publix, Winn Dixie and Walmart.

 

Visitors and Residents who cross the Indian River will be able to tour the Eau Gallie Arts District.  The District includes the Brevard Art Museum, Historic Rosseter House Museum and Gardens, the Civic Center and a variety of art studios and galleries.  The Farmer’s Market is held each Saturday morning and features fresh produce, jams, baked goods and crafts.

Historic Downtown Melbourne is a charming historic district with a variety of antique stores, boutiques, restaurants, bakeries, wine shops and art galleries. The Henegar Center is a community arts center that provides community functions.  The Melbourne Arts Festival is a nationally ranked art show and is attended by thousands of visitors each year.

 

Additional area attractions include Melbourne Greyhound Park (6 miles), Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts (8 miles), Melbourne Square Mall (9 miles), Historic Cocoa Beach (14 miles), Brevard Zoo (15 miles), Avenue Viera Shops (16 miles), Port Canaveral (23 miles) and Kennedy Space Center (36 miles).
